DEC 5: CHRIS IMLER / TULIP, DIE SINGENDE TULPE / HALLO WERNER CLAN

Continuation of the event series for original pop culture made on German soil. In previous years cult acts like PALAIS SCHAUMBURG, BODENSTÄNDIG 2000, DER PLAN and ECHOKRANK all found their way to 'Ein Abend In WORM'. And guess what, yes, this basically a Vrooom show, so be sure to check it out.

CHRIS IMLER

Chris Imler is a Berlin based performer with a stache fancier than Eroll Flynn's. He has worked with various musicians throughout the years (Peaches, Puppetmastaz, Driver & Driver, Jens Friebe, Oum Shatt, Die Türen, etc.), but recorded his solo debut 'Nervös' only just earlier this year after repeated requests from his current label Staatsakt. Nervös resonated with audiences and pretty much each self respecting German music magazine quickly publicized a headline article about Chris. The record's angular, infectious pop has been that significant, injecting a much needed dose of fun, eccentrism and spontaneity into Germany's musical landscape.

TULIP, DIE SINGENDE TULPE
The ultimate Hamburg scene insider tip. Tulip revolves around the persona of Holger Steen; the artist who doesn't have a homepage, presskit or booking agency. Steen doesn't need all this; once you've seen this 2+ meters tall man dressed up as a tulip, he'll be imprinted in your mind forever. In his solo incarnation, Tulip combines classic singing techniques and odd texts mixed up with accounts of his personal microcosm.

HALLO WERNER CLAN
Germany's weirdest hiphop duo? We saw Hallo Werner Clan aka Benni Bo and Miss Hawaii (the Tokyo-to-Hamburg expat) perform during a recent, rather flaccid cultural event in Hamburg, and the odd couple transformed the whole thing into a messed up party from the get-go. Hallo Werner's 'Wie-auch-immer-Hip-Hop' is a breath of fresh air; total trash Kult to be taken with a grain of salt, or two. Hallo Werner will DJ + perform live.

DJ's KLETSMEIER & TRAPATTONI

These two will play some great, known and lesser known teutonic tunes and more. After all: good 'German' music culture is also about lucidity, political consciousness and breaking the rules, and less about putting the 'B' of the Bratwurst into the music.
